Gaza Genocide: Israeli Atrocious Attacks Kill 19 More Civilians

(MENAFN) At least 19 Palestinians were killed and numerous others wounded in a series of Israeli military operations across Gaza since early Monday, local medical personnel reported.

Citing media, a medical source confirmed that four individuals — including a pregnant woman and two children — were killed when Israeli airstrikes struck residential homes in the Shati refugee camp, located in northern Gaza City. Several others sustained injuries in the same attack.

Additional casualties were reported in other densely populated areas of Gaza City. Air raids on Al-Nafaq Street and the Sheikh Ridwan neighborhood claimed the lives of nine more civilians, according to the report.

Near the Al-Sahaba Medical Complex, a Palestinian couple and their son were killed when an Israeli missile hit a residential building, the news agency said.

In the Zeitoun neighborhood, Israeli forces continued demolishing homes using booby-trapped robotics and previously deployed military vehicles placed among civilian structures, witnesses told media.

Mass displacement continues to escalate. Over recent days, thousands of residents have fled from northeastern Gaza City toward its western districts amid persistent Israeli bombardments. The exodus followed Tel Aviv's declaration last Friday labeling Gaza City — a densely inhabited zone with around one million people — a “dangerous combat zone.”

On August 8, Israel’s Security Cabinet approved a controversial plan proposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to initiate the gradual reoccupation of the Gaza Strip, starting with the seizure of Gaza City.

In the central Gaza Strip, an Israeli artillery strike on a residential home in the Bureij refugee camp killed a couple and their daughter, according to medical staff at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

That hospital itself was targeted shortly after, when Israeli aircraft bombed tent shelters erected for displaced civilians within the hospital compound near the outpatient department in Deir al-Balah, injuring several people and causing significant structural damage.

The death toll in Gaza has now reached nearly 63,500 since Israel launched its offensive in October 2023. The ongoing military campaign has not only decimated infrastructure but also plunged the enclave into widespread famine.

In November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, charging both with war crimes and crimes against humanity over actions taken in Gaza.

Separately, Israel is also defending itself against a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), further intensifying international scrutiny of its operations in the besieged territory.
